Freedom to eat is brought to you by Belinda Tyler, with the assistance of consultant chef Matt Williamson. Belinda has a passion to bring great tasting allergen free food to you without compromising taste, texture or enjoyment. She has over 15 years’ experience living with food intolerances so fully understands the difficulties facing you every time you want to eat. Matt has enjoyed over 20 years’ experience in the independent restaurant sector in a variety of establishments; from 2* Michelin restaurants, to top end rural gastro-pubs, bustling London bistros and private members’ clubs. He has a track record of establishing sites as food destinations, and after arriving in Bristol in 2008 opened his own acclaimed restaurant Flinty Red. Flinty Red won accolades nationally and locally, including Michelin, National Restaurant Awards, Good Food Guide and Observer Food Monthly awards. He is an extremely passionate, creative and professional operator whose career has been inspired and shaped as much by extensive travels and collaborations as by professional kitchen experience.
It is this joint passion and experience that will drive Belinda’s philosophy which is to offer alternative foods that naturally don’t contain the ingredients we exclude. We don’t use substitutes to just recreate everyday food, we seek out options from around the world that are naturally allergen free and that offer you great choice, taste, texture and enjoyment. All our food excludes the 14 allergens recognised by the Food Standards Agency, but you really won’t notice they’re missing.
